THE FORTY DAYS

The Forty Days come from Pisa and Livorno and can be defined as a progressive rock band, but with evident contaminations of art / rock, pop / rock and psychedelic rock.

The main influences are Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Marillion, David Gilmour, Calibro 35, Supertramp, Led Zeppelin and many others, in other words all those artists who have tried to mix prog / rock / psychedelia with a certain melodic component .

The current line-up of the group has been active since September 2015, a period after which the band starts a decent live activity and above all to think seriously about the writing of the first album.

This record came to light in 2017 and is titled The Color of Change: it is a concept album that talks about the situations, thoughts and fears of a man on the threshold of 30 years in our age.

The Color of Change, recorded at Edoardo Magoni’s Independent Studio in Putignano (Pisa), was officially released on October 28, 2017 in collaboration with the Lizard Records label.

At the moment the band is working on the second album, Beyond the Air, which will surely be released by the first months of 2022.
