Alphataurus

A band formed in Milan in 1970, Alphataurus left an indelible mark on the Italian progressive rock scene in 1973 with their first album, which is still celebrated today beyond the borders as one of the most important albums of Italian prog-rock and beyond.

The album “Alphataurus” was produced by Vittorio De Scalzi of New Trolls.

The band split up during the production of their second album.

But in 2010, thanks in part to the urging of some friends of the band, three original members joined forces with three new members to revive the band and pick up where it left off.

Since then, the Milanese band has resumed performing valuable concerts, and at the end of 2011, with the addition of a new drummer/percussionist, they completed the songs left unfinished at the time of the breakup, creating the long-awaited second album, “AttosecondO,” released in September 2012.

2024 finally marks the official release of “2084: Viaggio nel nulla,” a concept album eagerly awaited by many fans.
