ALIANTE

ALIANTE was born from an idea by bassist Alfonso Capasso, who called drummer Jacopo Giusti, with whom he had already played years before, and proposed forming a band to play instrumental music. Jacopo accepted the proposal, and together they searched for a keyboardist. They chose Enrico Filippi, with whom they entered the studio in March 2017 and recorded their first album, “Forme Libere”.

Several concerts followed in Tuscany and throughout Italy, the most notable of which was as the opening act for the Orme concert.

In 2018, they returned to writing songs for their second album, “Sul Confine,” a sophisticated album that features violinist Marianna Vuocolo on one track.

Enrico Filippi left, and Aliante transformed into a quartet with Davide Capitanio on guitar and Michele Lenzi (keyboards, bassoon, flute, and guitar). Their sound shifted toward an even more sophisticated progressive sound, blending melodies, psychedelic moments, and fusions of guitar, keyboards, and bassoon, which enriched the arrangements. On 2022 they released their third album, “Destinazioni oblique”.

Their fourth effort, “Anime Invisibili,” was also released at the end of 2024, this time on Ma.Ra.Cash Records.
